Cold rolled coil (CRC) is made from Hot rolled steel that undergoes a cold reduction process at room temperature. This process enhances its strength, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy making it ideal for various applications. Cold rolled steel (CRS) is known for it extremely ductile material. This makes it perfect when you need accuracy. It is used in many applications like kitchen gadgets, furniture, Construction and Automotive Industry.
CR Coil make stronger steel by changing its shape but without heat. Unlike hot rolled steel where you’d use high temperature and heat the metal until it can recreate its crystal structure, cold rolling happens at room temperature. We’re not using any heat here. Instead, we apply mechanical force. This pressure adjust the metal’s structure. It’s called strain hardening and it can boost the strength of the metal by up to 20%.
